Zoya Nail Polish Haul

Hello darlings!

I placed another naughty order a while ago. I think instead of sending me into a state of hibernation, the cold weather is inspiring me to shop. I've been pinning (on Pinterest) Zoya polishes from the newest collections for a while and when I saw two, yes two, sale offers I just couldn't help myself. I used one offer to get a free Pixiedust polish and another to get a free green nail polish. I am filled with shame.

But that's a conversation for another day.

You're already met Seraphina. I loved the idea of a light silver polish for the winter but sadly the finish and formula left something to be desired. I'm happy to have it in my collection but I wouldn't mind seeing another brand create a dupe for this polish that was more a traditional shimmer and that wasn't as sheer. Sorry about the bare nails, by the way. They look so naked without polish. 

This is a Dream. She's a stunner, isn't she? I can't wait to try this polish out but at the same time, I'm waiting for the right occasion. I think this will be a polish that is sure to get compliments.

Maria Luisa was my other unconventional pick. It reminds me a little of OPI Goldeneye. I think I'll try this as both a polish and a top coat for the review. I thought I was over gold leaf top coats but I couldn't resist this one after I saw it swatched.

Now for the Pixiedust polishes. This is Chita. I can't imagine her being named for anyone other than Chita Rivera. I don't think will be as vibrant of a green on my nails as it appears in this photo.

This is Carter. She looks a bit pink/magenta in the bottle but all the swatches I've seen have been more purple so hopefully she'll apply as a true purple to the nail.

It really doesn't seem like this polish should be called Sunshine, does it? It's a medium blue polish.

Now for some boring cremes. And if you can't tell, I favor cool colors over warm oranges and reds and pinks and nude shades. This is Hunter. Yes, I know I already have a ton of green creme polishes. But maybe this one will be different. At the very least it means I can do another comparison post. Stop judging me.

This is Sailor. Yes, a hunter green and a sailor blue. How clever. I'm hoping this won't be a dupe for anything I own either. 

And finally I thought I'd throw in a little surprise. The packaging on this polish was a little excessive. This is the outer box.

Yes, I finally got my hands on Veruschuka, that oh, so elusive matte velvet green polish. This was a limited edition re-release and I had to pre-order it. I hope it'll be worth the anticipation. I'll be using the color for my Christmas manicure.

Zoya Haul Bottle Pics

I'm not sure how interesting you'll find this, but I thought I'd share with you some bottle pics of the recent haul of Zoya polishes I did for their Earth Day promotion. I've had some issues with Zoya's formula in the past (click the Zoya label on the side for some of my reviews) but I can't resist the amazing deals that go along with their regular promotions. This time I picked up a total of 8 polishes, many that I've been lusting after since the last time I placed an order.

They came packaged in these two small boxes. I've never ordered this many polishes at one time from Zoya but the design and the quality of the packaging has me guessing this is special Earth Day packaging, maybe made of recycled material. I could be wrong though.

Bevin

I have been really wanting to try this after seeing a swatch on Spaz & Squee and I had been hoping Essie's Who Is The Boss would be a close enough dupe but I hated the formula on that one.

Skylar

This reminds me of a lot of the colors that get released for spring, including the two shimmery blues in the O.P.I. Holland collection but Skylar spoke to me more.

Loredana

This is one of their matte finish nail polishes. I've never tried a polish that is supposed to be matte so this should be interesting. I expected a more dramatic difference between this and the other matte polish I ordered but maybe it becomes more apparent when they dry.

I fell in LOVE with this polish after seeing a swatch on Spaz & Squee. This is the one I've been planning to order for a while now.

Tracie

This is the newest release I ordered. It almost didn't come with the rest of the order because I think it might have been sold out after I placed the order. Hopefully that's a good sign?

I have heard tons of great reviews about this product. I'm not sure if it'll replace Essie's Sew Psyched in my heart but I'll give it a shot.

I actually don't have a lot of purples so I picked up a red-based creme.

In case you were curious about what you get when you order Zoya nail polishes, I took pictures of everything that came with my recent order of Neeka and Breezi.

Side of box. A lot of people endorse Zoya products because they claim to be free of harmful chemicals and to be environmentally friendly.

Color plate. If you order a color spoon, one of these nail shapes will come attached to a plastic stick (like a spoon) allowing you to see what the polish looks like before you commit to a purchase. I find the color spoons pretty accurate though you aren't sure how many coats they used and the polish is always applied nice and evenly, preventing you from really getting a good idea about the formula.
